The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Infrared Experiment (SuZIE) uses a bolometric array receiver to observe the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect in distant ($z \stackrel{>}{_{\sim}} 0.1$) clusters of galaxies. Observations at 1.2 and 2.2 mm allow separation of the thermal and kinetic components of the SZ effect. The SZ effect has been observed for the first time at mm wavelengths in the cluster A2163.
