[45.08] Doppler Imaging of the Ap star 84 UMa

W.H.Wehlau (U. Western Ontario), J.B.Rice (Brandon U.)

The Ap star 84 Uma is a B9pEuCr spectrum variable with a period of 1.38 days. High resolution spectra in two spectral regions were obtained with the CFHT in 1989 and 1990. Maps of the distributions of iron and chromium on the surface of the star have been produced using our Doppler Imaging programs. The structures found in these maps are discussed, and the results compared with the surfaces of other Ap stars.
