The effect of bar height on retrograde orbits in a rotating barred galaxy containing a central mass is examined. Bifurcation diagrams and surfaces of section are obtained for several different cases, and the orbits are classified. We find that as the bar thickens the bifurcation point for the anomalous orbit moves towards the edge of the minor axis of the bar in the galactic plane. Implications of this on stellar motion and bar instability are discussed.
