[7.11] GRIS Observation of the X-Ray Transient 4U1543-47

J. Tueller, S. D. Barthelmy, N. Gehrels, B. J. Teegarden (GSFC)

The GRIS balloon-borne high resolution gamma-ray spectrometer observed the x-ray transient 4U1543-47 for 40 minutes on April 25, 1992. The observation was made during a flight from Alice Springs, Australia. This observation was 5 days after the maximum of the hard x-ray light curve observed by the BATSE experiment on GRO. A positive flux above 20 keV was observed from the 20\deg GRIS FOV centered on the source.
