[105.04] HST Spectrophotometry and Imaging of the Gravitationally Lensed 'Cloverleaf' BAL QSO 1413+1143

We present preliminary results from an analysis of HST FOS G570H spectrophotometry and PC imaging of the gravitationally lensed `cloverleaf' Broad Absorption Line (BAL) QSO 1413+1143. This gravitational lens at z$_{em}$ $\simeq$ 2.54 consists of four components which all lie within $\sim$ 0.6 arcsec of the image center. The images are used to derive relative positions and brightnesses for the four components of the lens. The relative brightnesses are determined for several different epochs. Spectrophotometry of each of the four individual components is compared in order to search for sight-line dependent differences in the BAL and emission-line profiles. Sight-line dependent differences are observed to be present. These results are used to consider constraints on small-scale BAL region cloud sizes and shapes and the emission-line region.
