[108.12] Composition and Morphology of Five Dwarf Irregular Galaxies

C.R.A. Wilton, H.A. Thronson (U. Wyoming/WIRO) ()

We present deep B, R, and I broadband images of five dwarf irregular galaxies: DDO~11, DDO~214, NGC~7292, UGC~12060 and Mrk~59. The different morphologies we observe at each wavelength, as well as the overall color differences, are the result of the stellar populations and star-forming histories of the galaxies. The CCD data were obtained at the Wyoming Infrared Observatory.
