HST/FOS far ultraviolet spectra of AGNs are studied with special emphasis put on the Lyman alpha absorption line systems. These AGNs include 3c66a, PG 1211, and PG 1522. Metal line absorption systems from the Galactic Halo and from the AGN Lyman alpha systems are studied. The distribution of Lyman alpha systems are displayed as a function of red shift for the AGN sight lines. Lyman alpha systems with and without associated metal line systems are compared. The minimum Lyman alpha equivalent width associated with a metal line absorption system for our sample is noted.
