We explore different galaxy models that can resonably reproduce the observed image positions and flux ratios of the four images (A1, A2, B and C) of the gravitational lens system 0414+0534. We then use the results of the galaxy models to compute microlensing light curves for each image. For this purpose we develop a new code to compute light curves for point sources and extended sources with very high resolution. Since the magnifications of the images A1 and A2 are greater than 15, we have to include at least $10^6$ stars in the simulations so that the light curves are not affected by the boundaries of the sample. First results of the microlensing simulations are presented and compared with the observations. Possible deductions for the size of the quasar are discussed. In addition, applications and details of the code are described. The code will be available in public in the future.
