We present redshifts and luminosities for galaxies in a very deep IRAS sample at the north ecliptic pole. These galaxies were selected from coadded IRAS scans of the pole region with 60$\mu$m flux densities bounded between 180 and 120 mJy. Therefore they represent the faintest infrared galaxy sample yet assembled. We acquired optical spectra in 1987 and 1990 at the Palomar 5~m telescope. We discuss the clustering of the sample and the luminosity evolution of its members.
