[71.04] TYPICAL SCALES IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF GALAXIES AND CLUSTERS

A systematic analysis of available catalogues of optical ,infrared galaxies, pencil beams and clusters of galaxies has been carried out.the statistical method is based on detecting changes in the unnormalised pair counts. It is very effective in discovering coherent structures. In all data samples a characteristic scale of 60(h-1)mpc was found. In deep samples an additional large scale of 130mpc is detected. The 60mpc scale might be the typical distance between superclusters, or in other words the characteristic scale of voids.
