[86.03] Three Short Period Eclipsing Binary Stars

S.Goderya, K.-C.Leung, E.G.Schmidt (U.Neb)

Light curves of the eclipsing binary stars DN Aur, V719 Her and V508 Cyg have been secured with good phase coverage using the CCD photometer at Behlen Observatory at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The light curve of V508 Cyg indicates that it could be an example of case B mass transfer; only a few members of this class have been discovered. The other two are most likely case A type. These systems may be of interest in our study of binary evolution. In this poster we will present the light curves and the analysis that are in progress. This research was suppported in part by NSF grant AST88-15806.
