[26.02] Data Modes of the Experiment Data System on XTE

The Experiment Data System(EDS) is the on board processing system for the Proportional Counter Array(PCA) and All Sky Monitor (ASM) on the X-ray Timing Explorer (XTE). We discuss the advantages and limitations some of the available data modes of the EDS for processing PCA data, including Binned, Event, FFT and Single-Bit modes. We also present EDS data taken during the first performance test which utilized 3 of the 5 Flight detectors connected with the flight EDS on the XTE S/C.
