The APS Catalog of the POSS I is available to the astro- nomical community over the Internet via NASA's Astro- physics Data System (ADS). This catalog is the result of digitized scans of the blue (O) and red (E) plates of the first Palomar Sky Survey, and will include all matched images down to the plate limit. Parameters derived from these include positions, sizes, magnitudes, colors, and neural network-derived star-galaxy classifications.

Use has been greatly simplified by the implementation of multi-plate access, allowing positional searches across POSS field boundaries. The on-line library of these fields has also been increased, with information on each plate available in a separate meta-database.
