A survey of edge-on $(i\ > 72\deg)$ spiral galaxies was carried out with the VLA at 20 cm in C array and at 6 and 20 cm in D array. The objective was to search for various z extensions in order to investigate the origin of cosmic rays and their propagation perpendicular to the plane. The poster presents some of the preliminary results from our recent analysis.
