[61.12] Dynamical Heating and Metallic Gas Supply by Elliptical Galaxies in Rich Clusters

I.Murakami (CITA), M.Umemura (U. Tsukuba)

We study the hydrodynamical interation between intracluster medium and hot gas of an elliptical galaxy moving in a rich cluster. The ram pressure is caused by the galaxy motion and strips metal enriched gas from the galaxy. The bow shock heats up the intracluster medium and gives it velocities which help to be mixed. Using the results of hydrodynamical calculations, we examine the rates of dynamical heating and metallic gas supply to the intracluster medium, and consider the spacial distributions of the metalicity and temperature of intracluster medium.
