Wide Field Camera observations of the outer field of M101, obtained in Cycle
3, have been analyzed as part of the ongoing Hubble Space Telescope Key
Project on the Extragalactic Distance Scale. We report the
discovery of approximately 30 Cepheids spanning a range of periods from
about
10 to 50 days. The resulting light curves and Period-Luminosity
relationship are
presented and the implications for the distance to M101 are discussed.
