[64.02] HST Narrow Band Images of the Ionized Gas in the Nucleus of M87

We present HST narrow-band H$\alpha$ + {\sc [N ii]} WFPC2 observations of
M87. The ionized gas in the nucleus shows surprising morphological
structure which we relate to the central engine and to the direction of
the jet.
