[101.06] CCD Observations of the Dwarf Cepheid CY Aquarii

T.E.Stephens, M.D.Joner, J.M.Powell (BYU)

New observations of the pulsating variable star CY Aquarii have been secured at Kitt Peak National Observatory using the Burrell Schmidt telescope equipped with teh S2KA CCD detector during August, September, and October of 1994. A more accurate period for the stellar pulsation is derived as part of a long-term study just completed at BYU. The data have been carefully examined in order to serach for a beat period. The presence of a second pulsation mode is not supported by our observations. Analysis of the new data confirm an abrupt change in the pulsation period about 1989.48 and that the period has remained constant since that time.
