We report the initial results of combining the light--gathering power of the Keck 10m telescope with the $\sim$ 0.1$^{''}$ spatial resolution of HST to study a small sample of faint field galaxies. The study of such galaxies has been limited by the spatial resolutions available to ground--based imaging and by the difficulty of acquiring spectra of very faint objects with 4m class telescopes. From the V and I WFPC-II imaging we have selected galaxies with a range of morphological types, and magnitudes of I $\sim$ 20.5 (B $\sim$ 23). HST imaging and Keck spectra of these galaxies allow us to derive redshifts, spatial velocity information, Hubble classifications and physical scale lengths. Our highest redshift object (at z = 0.75) is a spiral galaxy which appears to be undergoing a burst of star formation.
