[108.10] A Spectral Analysis of Scorpius X-1
We report on observations of the Seyfert 1 galaxy Mk 509 obtained in May of 1994
with ASCA. We expected to see a prominent Fe L emission line complex appearing
in the spectrum just below 1 keV based upon recently-obtained X-ray spectra of
Seyfert 1 and Seyfert 2 galaxies. However we see only a relatively weak Fe L
emission component. We will discuss the detection and analysis of soft X-ray
features in the spectra, including the Fe L complex, which may lead to useful
constraints on the thermal and ionization structure of the AGN circumsource
medium.
