The Second Catalog of high energy gamma-ray observations from the Energetic Gamma-Ray Experiment Telescope (EGRET) aboard the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory (Thompson et al., 1995) includes data from phases 1 and 2 (April, 1991 through September 1993) of the mission. The catalog lists one hundred twenty-nine high energy gamma-ray sources. Of these sources there are forty high-confidence identifications of active galactic nuclei (AGNs), eleven AGN identifications with lower confidence and five pulsars. Seventy gamma-ray sources remain unidentified. The catalog includes observations of the Large Magellanic Cloud and tables of information pertaining to gamma-ray bursts, solar flares and approximate upper limits for gamma-ray point sources at any point in the sky. Highlights of The Second EGRET Catalog will be presented.
