[10.02] The Lightcurves and Fluxes of Gamma-Ray Bursts in the 7 - 15 keV Bandpass

T. E. Harrison, B. J. McNamara (NMSU)

We present BATSE Spectroscopy Detector (SD) data on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) in the 7-15 keV bandpass. An extensive dataset has been collected by the BATSE instrumentation on the spectra and fluxes of GRBs at energies between 50 keV and 1 MeV. The 7-15 keV data that we present will extend our knowledge of the temporal and spectral behavior of GRBs to much lower energies. Some GRBs detected by BATSE have spectra which appear to exhibit a change in slope at energies below \approx 60 keV. Extension of the GRB spectral energy distributions to lower energies will help to clarify this break. The fluxes of bursts in the 7-15 keV bandpass constrain models that predict the spectral energy distributions of GRBs.
