Session 21 - Jets, H-H Objects, and Molecular Outflows.
Display session, Monday, January 15
North Banquet Hall, Convention Center
We have computed the free-free emission for a family of radiative shock models at wavelengths of 1, 2, 6 and 20 cm. These grids extend an existing shock code (that of Cox and Raymond) to preshock densities of /10^3 - 10^13 cm^-3 (high enough to make the postshock gas optically thick), and cover the range of shock velocities from 20 to 300 km/s. We present our results in terms of the observed fluxes and spectral indices of emission at radio wavelengths, and compare our results to observations of embedded HH objects and stellar jets.
