The Macho collaboration has searched through the first year of data on 8 \times 10^6 stars in the Large Magellanic Cloud for very short duration microlensing events caused by lenses with masses 10^-7 < m/\rmM_ødot < 10^-3. Using suitable selection criteria, we find no such events and thus can place strong limits on the fraction of the Galactic halo which can be comprised of objects in this mass range.
