We present the gravitational microlensing results from the analysis of the MACHO Project second year observations toward the Large Magellanic Cloud. A number of new microlensing events have been discovered strengthening the case that the microlensing toward the LMC cannot be explained as microlensing by known stellar populations in the Milky Way or the LMC. The implications of these new results for the composition of the Galactic dark halo are discussed.
