[49.04] High Resolution Ultraviolet, Visible, and Near Infrared Imaging of the Starburst Galaxy NGC 2903

A. M. Watson, J. A. Holtzman (NMSU), J. S. Gallagher III (University of Wisconsin -- Madison), K. Matthews (Caltech), J. T. Trauger (JPL), WFPC2 Science Team

We have obtained very high resolution images of the starburst galaxy NGC 2903 over more than a decade of frequency. We will present results from imaging with WFPC2 on the HST in the far ultraviolet (1600Åand UVI bands with 0.1 arcsec resolution and the Caltech Cassegrain Infrared Camera on the Hale 5m telescope in the JHK bands with 0.6 arcsec resolution. Our analysis will concentrate on the individual and ensemble properties of the star clusters visible in all bands, on the strong dust lanes, and on the distribution of UV light.
