Session 54 - Large Scale Structure.
Display session, Tuesday, January 16
North Banquet Hall, Convention Center
The Las Campanas Redshift Survey (LCRS) is a galaxy survey which extends to a redshift of 0.2 and which is composed of a total of 6 alternating 1.5^\circ \times 80^\circ Slices in the North and South Galactic Caps. Now in its final stages, the Survey contains approximately 26,400 galaxy redshifts. We present here a definitive LCRS galaxy-galaxy autocorrelation function \xi_gg(s), its comparison to the \xi_gg(s) from various theoretical models, and a discussion of the impact of the unique character of the LCRS galaxy selection criteria on the measurement of the observed \xi_gg(s).
