The Wisconsin Ultraviolet Photopolarimeter Experiment (WUPPE) on the ASTRO-2 Shuttle mission obtained polarimetric observations of 3C273 in the wavelength range 1550-3000 Åon Mar 11 and 15, 1995. The results are consistent with polarization less than about 1.5when this wavelength interval is considered in approximately 500 Åwide bins. This is similar to the HST observations of Smith et al (ApJ 409 604), though their level of polarization was lower than that observed by WUPPE. WUPPE is supported by NASA contract 5-26777.
