[101.01] Results From the LOWL Instrument

In this poster we will present various results from one year of observations with the LOWL instrument. The LOWL instrument is designed to observe oscillations with degrees l from 0 to about 100 providing a homogeneous dataset for inversions. Given the spatial resolution of the instrument it is possible to separate different azimuthal orders m even for the lowest degree modes, hopefully giving more accurate splittings than those determined using integrated sunlight for a similar time period.

We will show the results of an inversion for the solar rotation rate between 0.1R_ødot and 0.95R_ødot. Given the long duration and the large number of terms used to describe the m-dependence of the mode frequencies we have been able to obtain very good resolution in both the radial direction and in latitude while keeping the statistical errors low, thereby obtaining more accurate results than previously possible.

We will also present results of analyzing different parts of the time-series and compare the temporal variations in mode frequencies and splittings with variations in the solar activity.
