Session 122 - The Sun.
Oral session, Thursday, January 18
Salon del Rey South, Hilton
Comparison of 19 years of data from the Cl-37 neutrino experiment at the Homestake mine in South Dakota and measurements of the solar wind mass flux by the IMP 8 spacecraft show a significant correlation. Larger solar wind mass flux observed at IMP 8 in Earth orbit corresponds to a larger neutrino capture rate at Homestake. The data and analysis that support the correlation and a possible mechanism to support the correlation will be discussed.
