Session 3 - SIRTF.
Display session, Monday, January 13
Metropolitan Ballroom,
SIRTF will carry out thousands of observations of individual sources in addition to making large spatial and spectral surveys . Since many of the most innovative observing programs and most surprising results from SIRTF will come from the General Observer (GO) program, it is critical that this aspect of SIRTF be well planned and efficiently implemented. This poster paper addresses how SIRTF must accommodate requests from a broad spectrum of scientists, many of whom will not be familiar with infrared instruments, minimize the impact of these observers on limited project resources, and maximize the utility of these observations for future archival research.
