[9.06] Recent Progress in Calibration of the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer Proportional Counter Array

We present recent results on the in flight calibration of the Proportional Counter Array (PCA) aboard the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer. We address particularly recent progress in the deadtime model for bright sources, the energy response, instrumental background estimation, and the cross calibration with the coaligned High Energy X-ray Timing Experiment (HEXTE).
