We carried out a field test of a large field of view near-IR spectrometer employing 256x256 InSb array. This dual Fabry-Perot spectrometer is designed for observations of faint emission lines of the diffuse interstellar medium. First observations have been carried out in the Brackett alpha line of hydrogen at Mauna Kea last summer. The Fabry-Perots are cooled to liquid nitrogen temperature. Spectral resolution of the spectrometer is 10000, spectral range is about 300 km/s.

We appreciate NASA support of this project.
