[77.11] Recent Results from the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer

A. R. Hajian (USNO - Optical Interferometer Project)

In March 1996, the first closure phase measurement of a star was made with the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer. Since then, multiple epoch observations of several targets have been obtained, including seven epochs of the zeta 1 UMa which directly show the motio of the binary system (P=20 days, \Delta\theta=9 milliarcseconds). This poster reviews all current scientific results from the NPOI, including determinations of stellar limb-darkened angular diameters and preliminary astrometric measurements.
