[82.07] Weak Lensing using Wide Area Imaging Surveys

A. Stebbins (Fermilab)

The use of weak lensing on shallow but wide area imaging surveys to determine the mass distribution in our cosmological neighborhood will be discussed. It is shown that gravitational lensing shear can be measured using only nearby galaxies. Effects of non-uniform sampling will be discussed.
