High quality infrared (8-13 \micron) spectra of Comet Hale-Bopp taken at the IRTF and the MLOF show spectral features due to silicate grains of olivine and enstatite compositions. A new feature at 11.8 µm is identified with emission from small crystalline olivine grains. Spectrum synthesis models reveal that olivine appears in both amorphous and crystalline forms and links dust in the interstellar medium with that in the solar system. Temperature enhancements of the grains over equilibrium values argue for small (<10 \micron) optically thin grains.
