Session 3 - Source Surveys, Galaxy Surveys, Distance Scale I.
Display session, Wednesday, January 07
Exhibit Hall,
We present the analysis of a series of pointed ROSAT High Resolution Imager (HRI) observations of X-ray sources detected in the Einstein Slew Survey. Of the 16 slew sources considered here, 10 have been positively identified with single objects -- six with cool-type stars (spectral types F-K), one each with a variable star, a B2V, and a dMe star, and one with a BL Lac object. The HRI fluxes are consistent with those measured by the ROSAT All Sky Survey, for their 12 common detections, and improved positions are obtained for these sources. We calculate values of f_X/f_V and L_X for these stars where possible, and find these measurements to be consistent with those expected for their spectral type.
