[4.10] Astronomy Education and Research in a Small College Environment

L. F. Brown (Connecticut College)

Connecticut College is a small liberal arts institution that six years ago made the commitment to expand and enhance opportunities in astronomy for its students. We report here on the progress that has been made toward this goal. New educational experiences for students have been achieved through an invigorated astronomy curriculum, and by building and equipping a modern observatory for undergraduate research.
