[38.02] 65 Volumes of Astronomy and Astrophysics Abstracts: Interesting Statistics

A. G. D. Philip (ISO and Union College), K. D. Philip (ISO)

In BAAS 23, 876 (1991) and BAAS 24, 1141 (1992) reports were made of 51 and 44 astronomers who had published at least one item in every half year interval from 1969 to the date of the report. Now the Astronomy and Astrophysics Abstracts are up to volume 65 and the number of astronomers on the list stands at 30. The 30 men range in age from 55 to 82. 22 are American, two each are from Canada, the UK and Russia, one each is from Germany and South Africa. Both the oldest and the youngest astronomers on the earlier lists missed at least one half year interval between volumes 53 and 65. In the poster paper plots will be shown which will summarize information about the astronomers on the list and the areas of astronomy in which they work.
