Many future space science missions, including the Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST) and Terrestrial Planet Finder (TPF), require telescopes with apertures larger than any launch vehicle fairing diameter. This paper describes a deployable reflector developed for high frequency RF applications which has the figure accuracy and stability necessary for optical and infrared telescope applications. The reflector consists of seven hexagonal panels which deploy on orbit to form a structure with three times its stowed diameter and a surface accuracy of 0.2 mm rms, well within the range of mirror phasing actuators. An engineering model of this reflector has been successfully developed and tested, demonstrating compatibility with the launch and space environments, zero-g deployment and excellent RF performance. We present the details of this design and it's application to a cryogenic telescope for the Next Generation Space Telescope
