[61.02] The Interconnectedness of Science

The development of science is strongly effected by interactions between individual scientists and between different fields of science. Science and technology are also critically interdependent. Astronomy offers many examples of such interconnectedness and sociology. These phenomena will be illustrated and discussed, along with possible ways of enhancing productive interactions.
