[76.10] Hubble Space Telescope imaging of the nuclear starburst galaxy NGC 1808

J. Flood (Shimadzu Scientific Instruments), M. Mutchler (STScI)

We present preliminary results from the last of thirteen HST amateur observing programs. On August 14, 1997, HST's Wide Field Planetary Camera (WFPC2) was used to image the nuclear starburst galaxy NGC 1808. Broad-band R and I images reveal multiple nuclear star formation regions and associated filamentary structures. Narrow-band [NII] images also reveal star formation regions in the bar.
