Exhibit Hall,
Recent theoretical work suggests that the UV background may delay the epoch at which gas in small dark matter halos can cool and form stars. We compute the UV absorption line signatures of these objects and discuss their detectability by the STIS and FUSE instruments. In addition, we discuss the potential correspondence of delayed dwarfs with observed systems where no optical counterpart is seen.
