We will present the preliminary results of our analysis of the globular cluster system of the cD galaxy NGC 4874. Using the HST we have acquired deep F606W and F814W images of this COMA galaxy with photometry extending to the level of the turnover in the GCLF. Based on these images we will examine the radial and colour distribution of the cluster system. We will also determine the specific frequency of the cluster system. This information will then be used to examine the formation history of this galaxy, particularly in comparison to other central galaxies in rich cluster environments, such as NGC 1399 and M87. NGC 4874 is located in the center of COMA which is the richest cluster for which we now have information about the GCS of the central galaxy.
