[79.06] Beta Pic-like circumstellar gas surrounding 2 newproto-planetary disk candidate stars

B. Y. Welsh, N. Craig (Space Sciences Laboratory, UC Berkeley), I. Crawford (Department of Astronomy, UCL, London)

We present high resolution spectral observations of the absorption lines of CaII and NaI associated with the circumstellar gas disks surrounding the stars HR10 and HD85905. Data taken over two four-night periods in January and November 1997 reveal substantial profile variability between successive observations of both stars, similar to those routinely observed in the protoplanetary disk gas of the Beta Pictoris system.
