Although the baseline design for NGST calls for operation in the 1-5 micron range, extensions of the baseline both to shorter and longer wavelengths may be feasible. Here we discuss the possibility of a mid-infrared capability on the NGST. In particular, the requirements and capabilities of a mid-infrared camera/coronagraph/spectrometer as part of the NGST Integrated Science Instruments Module is in the process of being evaluated.
