[24.01] The Quest for High Spatial Resolution

The history of high spatial resolution astronomy and the multiple techniques used or proposed will be broadly surveyed with major emphasis on recent developments, plans, and expectations. Discussion of some of the newly developed techniques will be illustrated with scientific results and the increasing complexity revealed by high angular resolution.
