We report the mean uniform disk diameter of delta Cephei, one of the smallest stars to have its angular diameter measured by the Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer. The ability of the NPOI to precisely measure angular diameters less than 2.0 mas in size, as well as the ability to detect angular size variations of this archetypal cepheid variable, is presented.
