[42.05] A Search for Late-Time Radio Emission From Gamma-Ray Bursts

K. Koski (NMIMT), D. A. Frail (NRAO), S. R. Kulkarni (Caltech)

We present the results of a search for radio afterglows from 23 well-localized gamma-ray bursts. The data were taken at the VLA and span a range of postburst timescales from 0.1 days to 18 years. Notable bursts with sensitive upper limits include GRB 970111, GRB 970228, GRB 970828 and GRB 971214. The absence of late-time radio emission will be discussed in the context of the current popular fireball models.
