An otherwise unremarkable field near QSO J2233-606 was observed with the WFPC2 during the Hubble Deep Field South campaign. The field was observed in parallel with the STIS imaging and spectroscopy of the QSO. Exposures totaling about 450 ks were obtained in the wide U, B, V, and I filters, the same used for the original Hubble Deep Field. The images show a rich variety of galaxies, qualitatively similar to the original HDF image, and at a preliminary assessment appear to reach a comparable depth.
